Bidirectional operation of the SGBELT feeder!
We started the New Year 2026 with the introduction of new functionalities in the SGBELT feeder!
The most important and anticipated change we’ve made is the addition of a bidirectional feeder option. This allows for the most ergonomic setup of the workstation, depending on your needs, habits, laser settings, or other specific production requirements. To achieve this, we’ve added an additional option to the feeder menu, allowing you to easily and intuitively change the direction of the SGBELT laser marking feeder at any time.
Previously, our feeder operated on the right side, but now it also operates on the left side, with the choice left or right at your discretion. Changing the direction requires attaching a sensor that checks the presence of an object on the appropriate side of the feeder and setting the desired direction in the menu.
Along with changing the direction, we’ve added an optional magnet to the sensor base (available soon for purchase), allowing you to quickly disconnect and reconnect the sensor to the feeder without unscrewing it.
Another subtle but significant change is that we’ve designed sockets with rigid rubber guides. This reduces the risk of accidentally breaking the guide when inserting replacement inserts, thanks to the guides’ flexibility. This change allows you to use the sockets with great comfort, without worrying about damaging them, even when working quickly and carelessly.
For information on how to prepare and what a replacement insert for universal sockets is, we invite you to view our article and video, which demonstrates the use and creation of a replacement insert.
Beginning in late January, we’ll be adding a store to our dedicated feeder website, sgbelt.com, where we’ll be listing many new options. You’ll be able to purchase a variety of accessories for the feeder (and beyond). These will include accessories we’ve already developed, which, depending on your preferences, may prove useful, including a sensor that verifies tall and non-standard items, which can also be used on production lines to verify the presence of an item before marking; a standard sensor equipped with magnets, very quick to install and remove, facilitating frequent transport or storage of the feeder; and new sockets and inserts for various items, which can be ordered as a ready-made solution or downloaded as a cutting file.
The new socket is a universal pen socket. From now on, you can create any pen, whether thin, standard, or larger. All on a single socket, with a marking pen positioned correctly and at the right angle.
