Explore the use case of a dual socket

The double slot was created for the purpose of marking nameplates, but it soon turned out that there can be many more applications of an enlarged, double slot, it is great for personalizing plastic cards and making prints on smaller objects and tools.

Standard double socket.

The feeder can work with 25 double slots. The concept of the double socket was mainly due to the marking of small nameplates. It turns out that many products are labeled with small plates, made of both metal and laminate or, for example, for personalization of plastic cards, including programmable RFID. The dual-socket feeder is perfect for this task. However, not only nameplates can be marked with a double socket, but also aluminium business cards and other objects that can fit on the surface of the socket with their small size.

A few details of using the socket are important. There is an oblong hole in the socket, which must be covered with a marked object. This is important because a sensor is placed under this hole, and the other end is located on the boom above the feeder. Thanks to this communication, the laser has the ability to develop a beam and mark an object.

The large surface area of the socket, in the case of more complex elements, when the geometry of the object is difficult, allows the object to be properly designed and embedded in the socket. Also, thanks to the standardized size, location of the mount and sensor hole, it will be a great convenience for the designer to prepare the appropriate socket.

 

Dual universal socket.

Among our proposals there is also a double universal socket. Thanks to this design, we can easily adjust such a socket by using interchangeable inserts. The insert itself can be printed or cut out of plexiglass, and it is in it that we create a cutout for placing our marked object. If these are, for example, USB sticks, then they have several shapes, and sometimes it is possible to get them on one board – insert, which allows for very quick changeover of the feeder and the production of even small series, because the speed of changing sockets will take 2-3 minutes. On the other hand, the use of a template for the feeder in the laser program is already a significant acceleration in relation to the manual settings for the new product series.
